“Canvas and Cocktails,” a painting class for adults, will be hosted by the State Historical Society on Friday, June 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. Staff of the State Historical Society and artist Kim Eslinger of Gateway to Science will offer a fun-filled evening for adults who will learn how to use acrylics to paint the beauty of Space on canvas. Participants will also receive a special private tour of the museum exhibit “New Views of the Universe: Hubble Space Telescope.” Eslinger will teach techniques to create unique pieces of art inspired by amazing pictures of the stars and universe taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Participants will take home their own acrylic painting on stretched canvas. Registration is required at Eventbrite.com. Must be 21 or over to register.
