The Blenders Preview ~ Not Woodstock? ~ AARP Tax-Aide ~ Native Images on Currency

Tuesday, November 20 – Tim Kasper of The Blenders stops with a couple new songs and news of their Christmas concert series. ~~~ Speaking of concerts, next summer’s concert on the anniversary of Woodstock is having to change its name due to trademark restrictions. Promoter Merrill Piepkorn joins us. ~~~ NDSU historian Tom Isern has this week’s Plains Folk essay, “Era Bell Thompson on my Doorstep.” ~~~ Every year, AARP helps people file their taxes. Here to discuss the Tax-Aide program and the organization’s call for volunteers is the volunteer coordinator, Fritz Schwindt. Contact Fritz at 701-471-9899, or call AARP at 866-554-5383. ~~~ Images of Native Americans have been on currency for years. Today we hear about that rich history as Lori Walsh, host of “In the Moment” on South Dakota Public Broadcasting, visits with Gary Enright, director of the 1881 Courthouse Museum in Custer.
