Greywind's body found in the Red River

Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd has announced that the body of 22 year-old Savanna Greywind was found Sun. in the Red River north of Moorhead.

The discovery was made by two people in a kayak at about 8:20 p.m Sunday,  according to Todd.  The location was near Clay County Hwy. 26.

Greywind disappeared a week ago Saturday.  Family members say they hadn't heard from her since she went to a neighbor's apartment to fit a dress that the neighbor said she was sewing.

The neighbor, Brooke Crews, and her boyfriend, William Hoehn, were arrested on kidnapping conspiracy charges after a newborn, believed to be Greywind's, was discovered in their apartment.  Greywind was eight months pregnant when she vanished.

Chief Todd said the Ramsey County, MN medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
