The state Board of Higher Education has voted to renew and extend NDU President Dean Breschani’s contract until 2018
It brings the contract in-line with what most of the other University System presidents received back in June. At the time, the Board gave Breschani a list of areas of improvement.
Board president Kathleen Neset,
"President Bresciani has shown improvement in many of the measurable areas, but there is still work to be done and we have a way forward with that."
Breschani says he appreciates the strong support from the Board – and from NDSU students.
"It has been very humbling. The overwhelming support of students, faculty and staff, alumni, colleagues from around the nation, has been absolutely heartfelt by me and overwhelming in some senses."
The vote was 7 to 1. Board member Don Morton was the lone “no” vote – but he wouldn’t comment on his vote.
