North Dakota Flag Will Fly at Half Staff Till Saturday

By Hope Deutscher

Fargo, ND – In accordance with President George W. Bush's proclamation ordering that the flag of the United States be flown at half-staff through Sunday, North Dakota Governor John Hoeven is ordering the flag of North Dakota flown at half-staff until sunset, Sunday.

The Governor's order applies to the North Dakota State Capitol, and to all public buildings and grounds in the State of North Dakota.

"As a nation and as a state, we must make our compassion known by visible sign, to show the world that an assault on any of our people is an assault on all of our people," Hoeven said.

Bush issued a proclamation Tuesday ordering the United States flag flown at half-staff throughout the nation and the world.
