"Women Behind the Plow" ~ Valentines Memories ~ Genetically Modified Livestock

Sue Balcom is here to tell us about “Women Behind the Plow,” a travelling exhibit she developed with stories and photos of German-Russian women who worked on the farm beside their spouses, or sometimes as a single parent, receiving little or no acknowledgement for their contributions. The exhibit is sponsored by the Tri-County Tourism Alliance, which includes Emmons, Logan and McIntosh counties. ~~~ Listeners share more Valentines Memories. ~~~ An essay from Jessica Runck: “Three Stack.” ~~~ Regulators are currently wrestling with issues around genetically modified animals used for human consumption. We have a report from Kristofor Husted of Harvest Public Media. ~~~ A movie review from Matt Olien: “Hail, Caesar.”
