The 50th Annual Flickertail Woodcarvers Carving Show features experienced and novice works ranging from richly detailed animals to eating spoons, Scandinavian flat-plane caricatures to chip-carving, this year at the ND Heritage Center. Featured carvers are Jay Haavik, who worked on the Oseberg viking burial ship recreation, and Karen Henderson, who specializes in carving spoons from freshly-harvested trees. Sign up for our fall beginners classes, or visit wood and tool vendors to carve your own work of art! Jay Haavik is giving a talk 2pm Sunday on his work with the Oseberg recreation. Carver's tables will be up all day, both Saturday and Sunday.
