ND COVID-19: 652 more cases, five additional deaths

The death toll is now 1,779.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,779.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 652 individuals from 49 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 149,846.

These results were from a pool of 10,683 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.4 percent.

292 of those positives were PCR tests, and 350 were antigen tests.

2,698,342 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 530,634 unique individuals have been tested.

149 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 462 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 144,603. This leaves 3,474 active confirmed cases.
