ND COVID-19: 8 deaths, 1,489 new cases confirmed

North Dakota's death toll is now 2,023.

The state health department has confirmed eight more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,023.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 1,489 individuals from 50 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 177,812.

These results were from a pool of 11,874 tests for a daily positive rate of 13.53 percent.

732 of those positives were PCR tests, and 757 were antigen tests.

3,102,056 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 567,662 unique individuals have been tested.

130 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 620 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 172,847. This leaves 2,942 active confirmed cases.
