ND COVID-19: 2,503 new cases, two deaths confirmed as active cases soar

There are currently 11,991 active confirmed cases statewide.

The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,069.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 2,503 individuals from 51 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 210,478.

These results were from a pool of 14,545 tests for a daily positive rate of 19.16 percent.

1,219 of those positives were PCR tests, and 1,284 were antigen tests.

3,296,826 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 593,540 unique individuals have been tested.

159 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 1,391 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 196,418. This leaves 11,991 active confirmed cases.
