The state health department has confirmed 1,583 new COVID-19 cases this week.
According to the department’s coronavirus dashboard, this averages out to about 226 new cases per day statewide. North Dakota’s current case rate per 100,000 people is 208.
309 new cases were found in Cass County, 219 in Burleigh County and 108 in Grand Forks County.
93 new patients were admitted to area hospitals with COVID-19 in the last seven days. Currently, 68 inpatient beds and six ICU beds are occupied with COVID patients.
