North Dakota’s new COVID-19 numbers this week are very comparable to new cases confirmed last week at this time.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 1,851 new cases were confirmed statewide in the past seven days. The week prior, the department had confirmed 1,829 new cases.
This averages out to about 264 new cases per day. The dashboard says the state’s case rate per 100,000 people is 243.
362 new cases were confirmed in Cass County, 250 in Burleigh County and 159 in Grand Forks County.
This week, 85 new patients were admitted to area hospitals with COVID-19. There are currently 78 inpatient beds and six ICU beds occupied with COVID patients.
