ND COVID-19: 1,820 new cases found in the last seven days

Confirmed cases have remained level for much of the summer.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, North Dakota’s new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have remained level for the last several weeks.

In the last seven days, the department has confirmed 1,820 new cases of the virus. This averages out to 260 new cases per day. The dashboard indicates North Dakota’s case rate per 100,000 people is 239.

These numbers are very comparable to what’s been reported throughout the months of July and August.

In the past week, 399 new cases were confirmed in Cass County, 170 in Burleigh County and 156 in Grand Forks County.

Hospitalizations are up slightly. In the last week, 102 new patients have been admitted to area hospitals with COVID-19. Currently 91 inpatient beds and 13 ICU beds are occupied with COVID patients.
