The Maah Daah Hey trail in North Dakota’s Badlands is considered one of the top mountain biking trails in the United States, and it’s home to a popular racing series. The organizers call it “the raddest race in the baddest place.” There are four races, ranging from 25 to 100 miles, and they all happen on the same day and end up in the same spot. Here to tell us more is race director Nick Ybarra. ~~~ The Aneta Community Orchard and Gardens not only provides fresh fruit and flowers for the community, it also teaches children about the importance of eating healthy food. Ashley Thornberg recently paid a visit. ~~~ Darrell Strobel grew up in North Dakota and went to NDSU. From there, it was on to Harvard and a career at Johns Hopkins University. The latest of his many exciting projects is his work as co-investigator on the New Horizons Mission to Pluto. ~~~ Former NDSU Extension horticulturist Ron Smith is here to answer some recent lawn and garden questions.
