Betty Gronneberg on ucodegirl.org ~ Writer Sarah Chaffee on ND

Betty Gronneberg is looking to encourage girls to learn computer coding. She’s the force behind ucodegirl.org, and she has recently won a Bush Foundation grant to help empower young girls to pursue technology careers. ~~~ Sarah Chaffee is a writer and soon-to-be college grad who recently took a trip from her hometown in Virginia, intent to experience the Rocky Mountains. To her surprise, North Dakota ended up being the source of unexpected highlights of the trip. That became a story, and it’s now featured in the current issue of North Dakota Horizons. ~~~ From The Memory Palace, we hear about the immigrant experience for a Syrian, a story that includes information about the first mosque in North Dakota. ~~~ Chuck Lura shares this week’s Natural North Dakota essay, “Black-Eyed Juncos.”
