1 death, 177 new COVID-19 cases

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,474.

 

The patient was a man in his 70s from Golden Valley County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 177 new individuals from 28 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 105,215.

 

These results were from a pool of 7,041 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.54 percent.

 

90 of those positives were PCR tests, and 87 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,857,018 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 422,892 unique individuals have been tested.

 

28 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 130 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 102,586. This leaves 1,155 active confirmed cases.
