1 more COVID-19 death, 23 new cases as rate of ND infection trends downward

One more individual has passed away with COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide coronavirus pandemic death toll to 61.

 

The patient was a man in his 90s from Cass County. He had underlying health conditions.

 

Additionally, 23 more individuals from four North Dakota counties tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The positives were from a pool of 2,084 tests for a positive rate of 1.1 percent.

 

20 of the new cases were from Cass County. Burleigh, Stark and Traill Counties each had one new case.

 

There have been 2,577 confirmed positive cases overall.

 

94,711 tests have been administered overall, with 72,040 tests done on unique individuals.

 

There have been 167 hospitalizations. 36 people are currently hospitalized.

 

1,959 people have recovered from COVID-19. This leaves 557 active confirmed cases in the state.
