100 years of Women Voting ~ Horticulturist Ron Smith

Monday, November 25, 2019 – We discuss 100 years of Women Voting with Susan Wefald, co-chair of the North Dakota Women’s Suffrage Centennial Committee, and Sarah Walker, Dakota Datebook writer, who will be documenting the road to the 19th Amendment in a special Datebook series all next year. ~~~ Hemp farming exploded after the 2018 Farm Bill passed last December. The bill decriminalized the plant at the federal level, opening the door for many U.S. farmers to grow and sell hemp. We share a report from Hannah Hagemann from Weekend Edition Saturday. ~~~ The gardening season is gone, but horticulturist Ron Smith says there are still some things we need to talk about, like Christmas trees, protecting recent plantings, and holiday gifts.
