12 additional COVID-19 cases; 1 new death

The North Dakota Department of Health has confirmed 12 additional cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 237.

 

490 individuals were tested yesterday. 

 

As Governor Doug Burgum said at his daily briefing yesterday, a fourth death due to the novel coronavirus was also confirmed. The patient was a man in his 70s from Emmons County, who had underlying health conditions.

 

The new positive cases include:

 

  • Man in his 60s from Bowman County, community spread
  • Female age 10-19 from Burleigh County, under investigation
  • Woman in her 70s from Cass County, close contact
  • Woman in her 60s from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 40s from Cass County, under investigation
  • Woman in her 20s from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 40s from Cass County, close contact
  • Woman in her 40s from McKenzie County, close contact
  • Female age 10-19 from McKenzie County, close contact
  • Man in his 60s from Morton County, under investigation
  • Man in his 60s from Mountrail County, close contact
  • Man in his 40s from Slope County, close contact

 
To date, 7,703 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus in North Dakota.

 

There have been 33 total hospitalizations, 18 of which are still hospitalized. There have been 82 recoveries.
