140 new cases, 1 more COVID-19 death in ND

North Dakota's COVID-19 death toll has risen to 136, as one more individual has passed away with the novel coronavirus.

The patient was a man in his 70s from Rolette County with underlying health conditions. 

Additionally, 140 new individuals from 16 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 9,876. These results were from a pool of 4,517 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.1 percent.

Grand Forks County reported the most new cases found, with 39; followed by 28 in Burleigh County, 23 in Cass County, 17 in Ward County and ten in Stark County. Eight new cases were found in Morton County, and five were found in McLean County. Williams County had two new cases. Barnes, Eddy, Grant, Mountrail, Oliver, Ramsey, Richland, and Sioux Counties each had one new case apiece. 

To date, 432,725 total tests have been administered for COVID-19. 190,885 unique individuals have been tested. 

There are currently 52 individuals under hospitalization with the novel coronavirus.

There have been 8,064 recoveries. This leaves 1,676 active confirmed cases.
