199 new infections, 1 new death as ND COVID-19 numbers trend upward

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,465.

 

The patient was a man in his 80s from Cass County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 199 new individuals from 24 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 102,198.

 

These results were from a pool of 9,034 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.17 percent.

 

103 of those positives were PCR tests, and 96 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,769,590 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 412,992 unique individuals have been tested.

 

21 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 97 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 99,845. This leaves 888 active confirmed cases.
