261 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths confirmed

The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,468.

 

The patients were a woman in her 70s from Cass County, and a man in his 40s from Grand Forks County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 261 new individuals from 25 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 103,974.

 

These results were from a pool of 4,333 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.09 percent.

 

75 of those positives were PCR tests, and 186 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,816,189 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 418,563 unique individuals have been tested.

 

30 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 186 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 101,364. This leaves 1,142 active confirmed cases.
