4 new COVID-19 deaths, 40 new cases

Four more people have passed away due to complications of the novel coronavirus in North Dakota, marking the single deadliest day since the pandemic began. 

 

The patients were all from Cass County. They were a man in his 90s, and three women in their 70s, 80s and 90s respectively. Each patient had underlying health conditions. 23 people in all have died.

 

In addition, 40 new people have tested positive for COVID-19. The cases broken down by county are:

 

  • Burleigh County - 2
  • Cass County – 29
  • Grand Forks County – 4
  • Renville County - 1
  • Stark County – 3
  • Stutsman County - 1

 
2,065 people were tested yesterday, with 29,525 tests performed in total.

 

The new statewide positive total is 1,107.

 

There have been 86 total hospitalizations, with 27 people still hospitalized.

 

482 people have recovered from COVID-19.
