447 new COVID-19 cases, eight additional deaths

Eight more North Dakotans have passed away with the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide death toll to 247.

 

The patients were a man in his 80s, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 90s from Burleigh County; a man in his 80s from Emmons County; a woman in her 90s from Mercer County;  a woman in her 90s from McLean County; and a man in his 60s and a woman in her 90s from Morton County. They each had underlying health conditions.

 

Additionally, 447 new individuals from 40 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 21,846.

 

These results were from a pool of 5,340 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.72 percent.

636,374 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 241,484 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

89 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 859 hospitalizations total.

 

There have been 17,938 recoveries. This leaves 3,662 active confirmed cases.
