89th COVID-19 death as active cases inch toward 800 in ND

A woman in her sixties from Mountrail County has passed away with COVID-19, bringing the statewide pandemic death toll to 89. 
 
She had underlying health conditions.
 
Additionally, 104 individuals from 19 counties have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide positive total to 4,668. These results were from a pool of 4,195 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.5 percent.
 
There were 26 new cases found in Cass County, and 22 new cases in Burleigh County. Williams County had eleven new cases, and Grand Forks County had eight. Mountrail, Stark, and Ward Counties each had five new cases. There were four new cases in Morton County and three in Cavalier County. Benson, Emmons, McKenzie, Sioux, and Stutsman Counties each had two new cases, while McHenry, Ramsey, Richland, Sheridan and Walsh Counties each had one new case.
 
38 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 285 total hospitalizations. 
 
There have been 3,796 recoveries. This leaves 783 active confirmed cases, which is an all-time high since the pandemic began.
