COVID-19 vaccines continue to roll out in ND

North Dakota’s vaccination rate for COVID-19 is slowly inching upward.

According to the health department’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard, the state has received just over 635,000 doses of vaccine. Just over 583,000 doses have been administered overall.

To date, just under 290,000 North Dakotans have received at lease one dose of vaccine which amounts to 48.5 percent of the total population. Just under 45 percent of the population is up to date on their shots, amounting to just over 268,000 North Dakotans.

Health officials say roughly 70 percent of the general public needs to be vaccinated to reach herd immunity.

There are currently 411 enrolled provider sites approved to administer COVID-19 vaccine statewide.
