Death toll surpasses 1,500; 128 new COVID-19 cases identified

The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,502.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 128 new individuals from 28 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 108,652.

 

These results were from a pool of 3,397 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.83 percent.

 

69 of those positives were PCR tests, and 59 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,965,083 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 434,324 unique individuals have been tested.

 

36 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 140 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 106,372. This leaves 778 active confirmed cases.
