Main Street Weekend, April 5th

Sunday, April 5, 2020 - Dave Thompson updates the latest North Dakota COVID-19 news, and in highlights of the previous week’s pandemic conversations, we visit with professor David Flynn, who chairs the Department of Economics and Finance at UND. He discusses the double-whammy North Dakota faces from low oil prices and the pandemic; Shawn Kessel of the North Dakota Department of Commerce tells us about their survey that seeks to better understand how the pandemic is impacting businesses; and Wendy Ross, superintendent of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, where admission is free. (Some National Parks have closed since this conversation was recorded, and there have been suggestions that all national parks be closed, but for now, Theodore Roosevelt National Park remains open.)
