Friday, September 4, 2020 - Here’s a family event that’s still happening. It’s outdoors, has social distancing and should be quite a show. It’s the 18th annual hot air balloon rally in Medora next weekend. And it coincides with a kite fest. If you’ve never been to a kite fest, be prepared for quite a display. These aren’t your typical school-yard kites! Here to tell us more is Kaelee Knoell of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. ~~~ You may not know the name Ennio Morricone, but you almost certainly know his work. The late composer gave the world some 400 scores for TV and film, including the theme for The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, widely considered one of the most influential soundtracks of all time. Prairie Public’s Matt Olien and Scott Prebys offer an ode to Morricone. ~~~ News director Dave Thompson is here for our weekly news chat. ~~~ Matt Olien also has his weekly movie review, “The Personal History of David Copperfield.”
