More Than Just the Music ~ Dr. Denise Lajimodiere ~ Spring Flooding Potential

Wednesday, October 30, 2019 – “More Than Just the Music” is a new Prairie Public television documentary that profiles the Lincoln High School choir and their optimistic view of the world and its future. Our guests are Thief River Falls, MN, choir director Darcy Reese, and Prairie Public producer Barb Gravel in a conversation recorded at a gathering last week of Prairie Public supporters. ~~~ November is Native American Heritage Month. One event to commemorate the occasion will be an appearance by author Denise Lajimodiere at Minot State University. She will read from her book “Stringing rosaries: The History the Unforgivable, and the Healing of Northern Plains American Indian Boarding School Survivors.”  Today we share an encore conversation with Denise that first aired in June. ~~~ The US Army Corps of Engineers is warning the public to expect hazardous and constantly unstable winter ice condition on Pipestem Reservoir and Jamestown Reservoir in the coming winter months. Joining us is Corps spokesperson Matt Nelson.
