ND COVID-19: 243 new cases, 3 deaths and positivity rate over 8 percent

The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,482.

 

The patients were a woman in her 60s from Cass County, a man in his 60s from Stutsman County and a man in his 70s from Walsh County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 243 new individuals from 28 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 106,042.

 

These results were from a pool of 3,697 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.16 percent.

 

107 of those positives were PCR tests, and 136 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,880,113 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 425,824 unique individuals have been tested.

 

40 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 144 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 103,489. This leaves 1,071 active confirmed cases.
