ND COVID-19; 4 deaths, 52 new cases statewide

The state health department is reporting four additional deaths of individuals who had COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 84.

The patients a include a woman in her 90s from Cass County, a man in his 50s from Cass County and a woman in her 70s from Cass County. Each patient had underlying health conditions. A woman in her 80s from Stutsman County also passed away with COVID-19.

Additionally, 52 new individuals have tested positive for the novel coronavirus bringing the statewide positive total to 3,898. The results were from a pool of 1,989 tests for a positive rate of 2.6 percent.

15 counties are reporting new positive infections. 16 new cases were detected in Burleigh County. Cass County had eight new cases, Williams County had seven, and Morton County had six.  Grand Forks County had three new cases. Stark and Walsh Counties each reported two new cases. Barnes, Benson, Cavalier, McKenzie, Sargent, Sioux, Towner and Ward Counties each had one new case.

A total of 204,526 tests have been administered. 114,357 unique individuals have been tested.

To date, 248 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19. 24 people are currently hospitalized.

There have been 3,413 recoveries. This leaves 401 active confirmed cases in North Dakota.
