ND Health Dept: two deaths, 106 new COVID-19 cases

The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,447.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Woman in her 90s from Grand Forks County
  • Man in his 90s from Ward County

 
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 106 new individuals from 26 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 99,957.

 

These results were from a pool of 5,960 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.3 percent.

 

52 of those positives were PCR tests, and 54 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,667,010 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 405,387 unique individuals have been tested.

 

24 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 80 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 97,934. This leaves 576 active confirmed cases.
