October begins with nine deaths, 373 new COVID-19 cases in ND

Nine more North Dakotans have passed away with the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide death toll to 256.

 

The patients were a woman in her 80s from Burleigh County; a man in his 60s from Divide County;  two women in their 80s, a man in his 80s, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 90s from Morton County; a man in his 80s from Richland County; and a man in his 50s from Stutsman County. They each had underlying health conditions.

 

Additionally, 373 new individuals from 36 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 22,218.

 

These results were from a pool of 8,368 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.37 percent.

642,453 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 242,900 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

106 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 884 hospitalizations total.

 

There have been 18,272 recoveries. This leaves 3,690 active confirmed cases.
