One additional death, 118 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,440.

 

The patient was a man in his 20s from Ward County.

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 118 new individuals from 23 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 99,531.

 

These results were from a pool of 7,438 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.15 percent.

 

64 of those positives were PCR tests, and 54 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,637,671 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 403,113 unique individuals have been tested.

 

28 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 93 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 97,389. This leaves 702 active confirmed cases.
