State confirms additional death; 105 new COVID-19 cases

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,439.

 

The patient was a man in his 80s from Stutsman County. 

 

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 105 new individuals from 29 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 99,416.

 

These results were from a pool of 3,775 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.43 percent.

 

47 of those positives were PCR tests, and 58 were antigen tests.

 

The cases broken down by county are:

 

 

 

1,630,262 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 402,683 unique individuals have been tested.

 

31 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 99 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 97,286. This leaves 691 active confirmed cases.
