Taya Spelhaug of TechSpark ~ Making Sourdough Bread ~ LIVE@Livewire

Thursday, March 26, 2020 – Amid COVID-19, many people are finding themselves working or learning from home. For some, the transition is pretty easy, but that can depend on what you know about your digital options. It’s called digital literacy and today we learn about Microsoft TechSpark. This effort to boost digital literacy pairs tech professionals with teachers, startups and more. North Dakota's Microsoft campus is home to one of the nine regions across the US and Mexico. Taya Spelhaug is a TechSpark manager. She's John Harris' guest on Prairie Pulse. ~~~ Have a little extra time at home? You could try making long-fermentation breads like sourdough. Sue Balcom joins us for Main Street Eats. ~~~ In today’s What’s Happening segment, we learn about an option available during these times when we can go out to enjoy live music. LIVE@Livewire will present a number of live-streamed concerts featuring well-known regional artists. During each episode, money is raised for the musicians through donations made at LiveAtLivewire.com.  100% of proceeds go to the musicians. The live broadcast can be found onLivewire's Facebook page and atLivewireNow.com. We visit with Kent Kolstad, the founder, president and technical director of the Fargo-based live event production company.
