Two more COVID-19 deaths; 54 new cases

  Two more individuals have passed away from complications of COVID-19, with another 54 new people testing positive for the novel coronavirus.

 

The patients were a woman in her 80s from Cass County and a man in his 80s from Grand Forks County. Both had underlying health conditions. The new statewide death toll is 33.

 

The new 54 cases are from five North Dakota counties. 43 of them are from Cass County, 7 are from Grand Forks County, two are from Mountrail County and one each were from Burleigh and Pembina Counties. The new statewide positive total is 1,425.

 

The cases were confirmed from a pool of 1,634 individuals tested yesterday. 42,501 people have been tested overall.

 

104 people have been hospitalized, with 33 people currently hospitalized.

 

There have been 714 recoveries. There are 677 active confirmed cases.
