One of these was Edward Henry Allen, born at Pekin on March 2, 1908. Choosing to join the Navy, Ensign Allen graduated from the Naval Academy in 1931 and in the mid-1930's he became part of the developing field of Naval aviation.

  • 5/15/2008: It was one year ago this day, May 15, 2007, that the Ingersoll-Rand Company announced plans to sell off its Bobcat machinery division. Bobcat’s parent company was hoping to move out of the construction machinery business, but was willing to wait for the right offer. The “right” offer came three months later from the South Korean firm Doosan Infracore, who bought Bobcat for a total of 4.9 billion dollars.
