90th COVID-19 death, nearly 800 active cases in ND

A woman in her 80s from Cass County has become the 90th individual to pass away with COVID-19 in North Dakota.

The state health department says any underlying health conditions she may have had are still unknown.

Additionally, 124 new individuals from 22 counties have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide positive total to 4,792. These results were from a pool of 4,135 tests for a daily positive rate of 3 percent.

89th COVID-19 death as active cases inch toward 800 in ND

A woman in her sixties from Mountrail County has passed away with COVID-19, bringing the statewide pandemic death toll to 89.  She had underlying health conditions. Additionally, 104 individuals from 19 counties have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide positive total to 4,668. These results were from a pool of 4,195 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.5 percent. There were 26 new cases found in Cass County, and 22 new cases in Burleigh County. Williams County had eleven new cases, and Grand Forks County had eight.

72 new cases of COVID-19 in ND

72 new individuals from fifteen North Dakota counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide total to 4,565.

The results were from a pool of 3,093 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.3 percent.

Governor Doug Burgum says when school was closed this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first time any such move had ever happened in North Dakota.

He says now - schools will be moving forward with their own plans to deliver education to the state's 120,000 K-12 students. But he says opening schools won't be as easy as closing them.

88th COVID-19 death; 55 new cases

A woman in her 80s from Cass County has passed away with COVID-19, bringing the statewide pandemic death toll to 88. She had underlying health conditions.

 

Additionally, 55 new individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 4,493.

 

The results were from a pool of 2,427 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.3 percent.

Today’s results were from a pool of 4,564 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.4 percent.

The patients were women in their 90s with underlying health conditions. They were both from Cass County.

The results were from a pool of 4,327 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.1 percent.
