UPDATING: ND Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem hospitalized in Bismarck

North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck this morning for an undisclosed medical condition.

Sources say an ambulance was called to Stenehjem’s residence shortly before 8:30 this morning. Stenehjem's brother, Allan, told the Bismarck Tribune paramedics performed CPR, before taking Wayne Stenehem to the emergency room. Allan Stenehjem said the family was unaware of any underlying medical condition.

No other details have been released.

Stenehjem had announced back in December he would not seek another four year term as Attorney general. He was first elected to that position in 2000, after serving in the Legislature since being elected to the North Dakota House in 1976. He was elected to the state Senate in 1980.

This is a developing story. Watch for updates.
