"Green Dot" Safety Program ~ Salted Lands ~ Internet Privacy Legislation

Tuesday, June 11, 2019 – The “Green Dot” safety program uses a bystander education approach to reduce interpersonal violence in the community. Here to discuss the strategies involved are Melanie Fierstine and Greg Lemke from the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center in Fargo. ~~~ Fintan Dooley is a land and mineral rights attorney. He’s also a member of the Salted Lands Council, which is concerned about land damaged by brine ponds and spills that can occur in conjunction with oil and gas development. We share an excerpt of his visit with host John Harris on a recent Prairie Pulse television show. ~~~ The North Dakota legislature has joined the growing concern over Internet privacy issues, having passed a “mandatory study” of the problem. Joining us is Republican Representative Jim Kasper of Fargo.
