Sunday, January 12, 2019 - On our weekend highlight show: The United Way in Bismarck is starting 2020 out expanding its reach with the area’s first 24-hour emergency shelter. Executive Director Jena Gullo joined our Dave Thompson to share how community support made it happen. ~~~ An arts and humanities update as we visit with Kim Konikow of the North Dakota Council on the Arts, and Brenna Gerhardt of Humanities North Dakota. ~~~ We visit with Staci Lola Drouillard, author of “Walking the Old Road.” It’s the story of a once vibrant, now vanished Ojibwe village, and a vital chapter of the history of the North Shore.
