Tuesday, June 23, 2020 - With the heightened racial tension in the country, we share a special program today from “The Write Question,” which features authors from the western United States. Host and producer Sarah Aronson visits with Shonda Buchanan about her memoir “Black Indian,” an inspiring story that explores her family’s legacy of being African Americans with American Indian roots and how they dealt with the consequences of this dual inheritance. Buchanan is an award-winning poet and educator, and the literary editor of Harriet Tubman Press. ~~~ Dave Thompson and Doug acknowledge Sr. Thomas Welder, former president of the University of Mary, who has passed away.
