Author Deborah Davis ~ Sue Balcom on Fall Gardening

Thursday, September 10, 2020 - Deborah Davis is one of the featured presenters at the Theodore Roosevelt Symposium next week. She is the author of “Guest of Honor: Booker T. Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, and the White House Dinner That Shocked a Nation,” which won the prestigious Phillis Wheatley Award for best work of History in 2013, and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. ~~~ Commentary from Mark Trahant. ~~~ Much of what is now farmland in the Great Plains was once native prairie. And in some places - like the Kansas City area - the land is now being converted back to its original state.
