When a love for plants, a passion for art, and a family farm intersect, you have the makings of an unusual community space. Special contributor Brandi Malarkey introduces us to Bismarck’s Ellen Knudsen Duffey, who’s embarking on an ambitious plan to create a stained-glass greenhouse. She’s inspired by nature and found objects, including a key piece of glass that showed up serendipitously, thanks to her teacher Beverly.
