Farmers' Market Produce Recovers

The late start to summer doesn’t seem to be slowing down farmers’ produce selection.

Dwight Duke is owner of Skyline Ranch Produce. He sells vegetables in Bismarck at Urban Harvest, BisMarket and Kmart’s Farmers Market each week.

Duke said he sold more than 200 cucumbers, 50 pounds of peas, and many other vegetables just in one day.

“It’s catching up some. The tomatoes I planted late and they were late to begin with. Some of the sweet corn will be late for me this year, but most of the other vegetables are starting to kick in,” said Duke.

Duke said he will continue to sell produce throughout the summer.
