Sunday, September 1, 2019 – Main Street Weekend will reprise our interview with Dr. Mary Wakefield, who has been named one of five “Living Legends” by the American Academy of Nursing. We’ll talk about her extensive experience in medicine and education and her perspective on healthcare issues. ~~~ We’ll discuss the upcoming Theodore Roosevelt Symposium at Dickinson State University with humanities scholar Clay Jenkinson and one of this year’s presenters, author Rick Marschall. 2019 marks the centennial of the death of Roosevelt’s death. ~~~ And we’ll share selections edited from the StoryCorps visit to Bismarck last summer to collect oral histories. The excerpts will feature Loah Clement in a conversation with her son, Jason, and Karen Van Fossan in a visit with Peter Huff.
