Bismarck, ND – Two of the three U-S House office buildings have been re-opened after being checked for anthrax.
But the one building that remains closed -- the Longworth building -- is the one that houses Congressman Earl Pomeroy.
Pomeroy says he's making do -- staff members are working out of their homes, and he's using a nearby Starbucks coffee shop for meetings. And he says he's not yet sure when he will be able to return to his office. But he says life and work go on.
"It's probably going to mean that rather than Congress wrapping up its work before Thanksgiving, it may be well into December before we get the work done. But we're going to get our work done, and we're not going to be further disrupted. Inconvenienced? Absolutely. But it goes with the territory. We're in a war. We understand that -- and we'll do what it takes to get our work done."
Pomeroy says there's one advantage to meeting in a Starbucks -- the coffee is better.
