Monday, April 20, 2020 - The CARES Act is the latest federal legislation to help address the hardships caused by the pandemic. The act includes direct financial assistance to Americans; aid to small businesses and employees; efforts to stabilize the economy and keep people employed; and additional support for healthcare professionals, patients, and hospitals. In another COVID-19 Main Street Interactive Town Hall, we discuss the CARES Act with Michelle Kommer, commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Commerce; and Eric Hardmeyer, president of the Bank of North Dakota, which is actively involved with relief efforts. Record your story or question in advance at 701-428-1686, or email mainstreet@prairiepublic.org, or call 888-755-6377 during the 3pm live show. Our COVID-19 Town Hall series is sponsored by the North Dakota Blue Cross Blue Shield Caring Foundation.
